RSHE - Relationships, Sex and Health Education

"...the knowledge to make informed decisions about their wellbeing, health and relationships as well as preparing them for a successful adult life." (DfE) "The Department [for Education] is committed to supporting all children to grow up happy, healthy and safe, and to provide them with the knowledge they need to manage the opportunities and challenges of modern Britain"

Here is the slideshow shared by Mrs Tyers at the parent consultation meeting in November 2020.

*Please note, the teaching of 'Preparing for Puberty' has now been moved from year 5 to year 4 due to the number of children beginning puberty earlier. We believe it is important for the children to be fully prepared before these changes happen so that it is a less upsetting/scary experience for them.

Here is the leaflet we shared, from the Department For Education - Understanding Relationships and Health Education in your child's primary school: a guide for parents.  You can find more information by searching "relationships and health education" on gov.uk.

The policy for RSHE was reviewed and updated September 2021. It will be uploaded here after it has been approved by governors.
